Hi. Does the guide on the 905 sidecar only display digital
channels or does it give also show information on the analog ones?

The 905 has the same IPG as the 92X. The analog channels
appear in the guide, but you cannot access them via the guide, you
can see the info but must change to your analog IRD to tune them in.
There are "phantom" satellite icons for the analog only satellites
(G5,W7 etc.). If you add them to your list of available satellites
their listings will appear in the IPG (if any listings exist ... KZ
for example does not have listings on the 905 or 92X guide).
As Ken mentioned the 3 digit analog subcarrieres also appear in the guide. The trick to these is to know how to tune them in with your analog receiver. If you are viewing the 905 and choose an analog only satellite from
the grid you will get the nag screen to go to analog mode, if you
do not go to analog mode the 905 will remain on the current digital
channel if you hit the enter key and will not attempt to tune to the
analog only satellite. |
