It seems that these 4dtv receivers will get the coils at the UHF receiving antenna magnetized and they simply do not recognize the UFH signal coming from the remote. You have to go into the receiver, open the small metal case attached to the antenna, separate the coil turns with a thin piece of plastic and then try your remote again. That's what I did and now I have my full range (about 100 feet)on my remote. Then you close everything back up of course...and enjoy.
