Anik A2 (Anik means 'little brother" in the Inuit dialect)
is the Ku band side of Anik E2. The footprint of the Ku signal can
be seen at http://www.telesat.ca/graphics/misc/satellites/E2KUCONT.gif
. Only the norhtern tier of US states can pick it up. Most of it is
scrambled and unavailable to the US (in violation of article 19 of
the Universal Declaration of Human Rights), but the stuff that is
viewable is rather interesting. A channel listing for A2 can be seen
at http://web.idirect.com/~teepee/coms/a2.htm . pretty good, eh?..and I'm not even Canadian! tom |

Thanks TMUNSEY:
I live about 20 Miles west of Lake Michigan on the Wis Illinois
border. So I guess I should get a good signal from A 2. All I get
is 32 KU channels, some have shows on them. Tonight Friday, there
is the playoff ball game on. Thanks again |
