Got my new 4DTV receiver today from Satmart. Must
say...VERY prompt service. I just ordered it last Friday...jeesh!
In any case, I got all the regular satellites loaded up no problem, but when I clicked on a digital channel to start my download, it says "please wait a moment, we are processing your request". I guessed this was just going to be on awhile while it was downloading info. The manual says it should take maybe 5 minutes. I've had it sitting on a digital channel now for over an hour, and the same message is there. Could it be my LNB won't support the digital channels? I know it did make some changes the first time I left it on a digital channel (for about 45 minutes), because when I went to look at the Program Channels area there were a whole bunch of new satellites listed. Could it be this download will take much longer than the manual said? Any ideas from you experts out there? Thanks! |

I am assuming youare on one of the 2 digit G9 channels.
That message will stay there indefinitly on a 2 digit channel. Go to
xponder 24 and see if you can channel up to a 3 digit channel. If you
can I think it is safe to assume that the digital maps have downloaded.
The channel count should no be posted to an unrestricted area so I will not mention the exact count in this message. If you look at the "Options" 6-5 screen you should see number well over 2000 ... if so the digital maps have downloaded. You may also find these web sites useful:

Also after the digital maps are downloaded you need to
call your programming provider to give them your Unit ID so they can
enable your digital programming. |

I started out on a two digit G1 channel, then tried a
two digit G9. I did try one of the three digit channels but got the
same message. I just punched it in though, and did not try channeling
up.
I think it did download, but I had no idea I needed to contact my programmer and let them know I had 4DTV. I'll do that today. This is likely a stupid question, but for some reason I couldn't find how to program the clock?? Does the daily download update the clock itself? It's likely very obvious, and hiding in plain sight. I'll join the owners forum tonight. I just wanted to get this thing working right away. Thanks for the info Darryl! Chris |

You need a 4DTV-capable provider to give you a hit to
enable the IPG, free preview channels, etc.
Unfortunately, there is no way to program the clock yourself. It
gets the time from the digital datastream. Another reason why it's
good idea to let the provider know where you are located -- otherwise
you'll see GMT time... |
