I cannot get T6 into my Program Satellite Menu.
I have set the dish on both G9780 and G9300 for
over an hour on each station with no results.
Any ideas on what to do?

Yesterday 6,4,4 showed T6 and L6 but I could not program them in so last night I made sure that I was on G9-300 and put the receiver in standby or what ever it was off any way. This morning I tried again to program them in as they still showed at 6,4,4 but the screen just went back to the checked satellite I was on. I tried to program another satellite (S-9) which I had not programed in and had no trouble getting it programmed. So I unplugged the unit and went through the warm up process and got my IPG back, tried to program them again nothing. I then left it on G9-780 while I went bowling (I do have another life) and just tried again nothing. My trip counter is 0 because of the unplug and Channels show 4358. I am at a loss and don't know what else to do. I am going to put it on G9-780 when I shut down tonight but I really would appreciate any other suggestions since I sure don't want to do a master clear unless that is the only way. I have never had this problem before, when K5 was added I had no problems. Thanks to anyone who can help

I have found out how to get T6. I did a Master Reset on
my 4DTV receiver, and reloaded everthing and T6 came right in and also L6 (Ku). Of course a Master Reset requires you to
reprogram all satellites, so it takes some time. If you do not know how to do a reset, go to the 4DTV.com website for
info.

Everyone,

We have discovered the cause of the problem. In addition to the virtual channel tables (VCTs), the 4Dtv also maintains a number of other tables, one of which is called the Transponder Data Table (TDT). It turns out that the TDT has overflowed. Some of the TDT entries for T6 and/or L6 are getting discarded, so the satellites cannot be programmed. Depending on which TDT entries your 4Dtv received first, you may or may not experience the T6/L6 problem.

A TDT overflow can occur as a result of DXing to non-4Dtv services (in which case you pick up additional TDT entries that the 4Dtv doesn't normally need), but it can also occur over time if there are a lot of changes being made to the 4Dtv channel maps. For example, it is possible that some TDT entries inserted into the table a year ago are no longer used or needed, but they haven't been purged from the TDT. As a result, those of you who have had your 4Dtv for a long time and have not done a reset to factory defaults recently may have accumulated more TDT entries than others, thereby causing this problem to surface.

The firmware engineers are working with Mr. 4Dtv to generate a set of maps that will purge all the old records from your TDTs, freeing up space for the ones required for T6 and L6. Stay tuned…

Mr. 4DTV

The corrupted maps problem took a different path for me. I suddenly lost P5. The 4DTV went to P5 but showed the map structure of B6. I removed P5 and now cannot reprogram it. The screen simply goes back to "select satellite" when I specify P5. I do not have A2 programmed since I can't receive it in my location, Georgia. I have complete maps of T6 and L6, although the polarity of both maps appears to be reversed.

I unplugged the 4DTV and left it on G9 11 overnight. Got the updated Guide information, but no help with P5. Screen G while sitting on G9 11 looks like this:

4541 68 0 1920 64 65 0 11
TDT ffff ffff ffff ffff ffff ffff ffff ffff
ffff ffff ffff ffff ffff ffff ffff ffff
11 11 11 5 33 33 0 11
0 0 0 0 0 74 0 560
000b 40 0000 210b00ff 1021 80 4b0b 0510 2100

The 1920 in the Diag G screen info above is the TDT count. This is the highest value allowed by 4DTV receivers.
