q, b (both inverted) or . (neither inverted). |

|
Coarse DAC value |
6 bit PWM value for coarse D/A.. |
|
Fine DAC value |
Corresponds to a "human" viewpoint of the
DAC that corresponds to the PWM behavior (i.e. as the DAC increases, frequency
increases). |
|
AFC State |
NA : No AFC; LS : Loop Stress; FA : Frequency
Adjust; CLS : Check Loop Stress; ALS : Adjust Loop Stress. |
|
Signal Quality Threshold |
Signal Quality Threshold (0..139). The Instantaneous
Signal Quality is compared against this value in the calculation of Time
Above Signal Threshold.
Initialized to 0, it can be changed via the Unit Information
message.
See Notes 1 and 3. |
Line C3 |
|
|
|
Instantaneous Signal Quality |
Instantaneous Signal Quality (0..139). Normalized
for code rate to provide a comparative measurement of signal quality.
Calculated once a second from the EbNo while acquired
to a signal, and fixed at 139 when not acquired. |
|
Minimum Signal Quality |
Minimum Signal Quality (0..139). The high
water mark of the worst Instantaneous Signal Quality measurement.
Signal Quality measurements based on fewer than 16 norm
count samples or while not acquired to a signal are excluded from this
comparison.
See Note 1. |
|
Average Signal Quality Sum / Average Signal
Quality Samples |
Once every 15 minutes the Instantaneous Signal
Quality is added to a running summation (the Average Signal Quality Sum)
and a sample counter (the Average Signal Quality Samples) is incremented
by 1.
The sample counter is 16 bits, and will wrap after 682
days unless it is cleared. The running summation is 32 bits.
See Notes 1 and 2. |
|
Time Above Signal Threshold |
Once every 2 seconds the Time Above Signal
Threshold is incremented if the Instantaneous Signal Quality is greater
than the Signal Quality Threshold.
See Notes 1, 2 and 3.
The percentage of time spent with a signal outside of
threshold can be approximated by dividing the Time Above Signal Threshold
by the total time being measured, i.e.
Time Above Signal Threshold /
(sample counter * 15 minutes * 60 / 2 seconds). |
|
EbNo |
The current signal to noise ratio from -3.0
through 10.9.
The EbNo Count is calculated once a second from the most
recent 16 norm counts.
Norm count samples are collected every 50 ms when RS sync
is first acquired (for the first 16 samples), and when manual tune, installer,
and Diagnostic Screen C are up. Otherwise norm count samples are collected
only once a second. |
